Abstract

The rescue excavation is carried out to register and record data at risk of destruction in development projects, such as the construction of the Cham shir Dam near Gachsaran in the Kohgiluyeh & Boyer-Ahmad province, which was continuously explored over three consecutive seasons. During the excavation at Site 091 in the Cham shir in the winter of 1401, a building with three distinct spaces, along with pottery fragments, stone tools, and a small number of glass items, was discovered. Here, we aim to introduce the pottery of the area through field research and library studies, which are among the most significant archaeological findings in this area. Although the pottery is simple, they are of great importance for the stratigraphy of the sites in this region. Among the recovered pottery, decorated pottery can be seen, which has sparked much debate among researchers regarding its dating, with some attributing it to the 2nd century A.H to the Qajar period. It seems that the decorated pottery of Site 091 in the Cham shir can be dated back to the 3 rd to 5th centuries A. H. Therefore, with greater emphasis, it is highly probable that Site 091 Chamshir belongs to this time period.
